Regardless if that is a little girl or a mature women little children should not be subjected to these pictures. The WT at that time could care less about children. I was told by adults in the congregation time and time again I should not even be there because I was a child. Also the WT did not want you to watch horror movies but used their own form of horror in their books. Remember the blood all the way up to the horses shoulder showing how many would be killed by God. Really showing the WT is a religion of hate and fear and not love. I know it's a CULT!!! Still Totally ADD

Was looking at my childhood book "From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained" I found something interesting.
by Still Totally ADD ini was showing a friend of mine what kind of books my parents allowed me to read when i was very young.
no children books that was age related but the so called orange paradise book was my only children book i had.
she was taken back on how violent it was and showing little kids being killed by god was just unspeakable.

I remember when I was 12 years old I was home alone on a Saturday morning watching cartoons when a small earthquake hit our area in central IL. I thought I was going to die like those kids in the book. I hate that book for the memories I am having now. Still Totally ADD

I was showing a friend of mine what kind of books my parents allowed me to read when I was very young. No children books that was age related but the so called orange Paradise book was my only children book I had. She was taken back on how violent it was and showing little kids being killed by God was just unspeakable. After she left I started looking through the book and discovered some interesting things such as on page 18 second paragraph " Five creative days of 7000 years each had gone by". I did not realize this book taught creative day was 7000 years long. The only mention of 1799 was on page 168 paragraph 34 "in 1799, Napoleon took the Pope prisoner". On page 193 paragraph 34 " The slave is not a man. Neither is it the WT society. It is the united body of regathered last ones of God's spiritual nation.". On page 192 paragraph 33 " less than 20,000 of the last ones of God's spiritual nation are now left on earth.". Finally what I call the pages that gave me nightmares for years page 208 & 209. This is were God is killing everyone that is bad. What kind of people think up this shit? Just thought some of you would like to go down memory lane. LOL. Any thoughts? Still Totally ADD

WT Society Creates the Atmosphere which Spawns Child Abuse in Congregations
by flipper inbeen thinking about this lately after almost 14 years out of the jw cult myself.
when you think of the language used within the jehovah's witness organization in such a closed society environment in how the wt society promotes almost absolute " trust " in the elders , the governing body, and trust even in the " friends " in the congregation themselves- is it any wonder that unscrupulous child molesters can enter any congregation pretending to be " spiritual " and take advantage of unsuspecting children or the parents ?
think about it : an individual is judged as a " spiritual " person within the jw organization based on what wt functions or duties they are good at performing.

As a victim of child abuse by a PO when I was 7 years old I know exactly what you are talking about. One point I would like to bring out is as a child you are taught to show absolute respect for adults in the congregation. With out question no matter what they did to you and the fear a child had towards them you always had in the back of your mind you can not say anything because you had to respect them. I hope I said this right so all can understand. This is very hard for me to explain. This is to me one of the biggest problems there is. Thanks flipper for letting me voicing this. Still Totally ADD

Observations from an Ex-Elder Part 1
by doubtfull1799 ini was thinking about the fog model this morning, particularly about the "obligation" part.
my mind went back to the last elders school i went to.
one of the parts in the section on appointments was discussing how we should not place too high a bar (human standards) for brothers to try and jump over when we are considering them for appointment as a ministerial servant.

I learn the hard way like you that CO could care less about any charitable works one does in the congregation. It all about the worship of the almighty hours spent out in field service. You could be the biggest SOB alive but if you have high hours you are great and wonderful. Worthy of CA parts or demo. I came to loathe this thinking. Thank-you for bringing out this information. My awkward elders hearing
by Andamormonjustbelieves ini was baptized when i was 14 years old.
i hadn't had any real relationship with a girl up to that point.
but when i started going to high school i learnt the joys of experimenting with girls, so i did not stay a faithful member of the congregation for long.

I remember as a elder during a JC the other two elders started with very personal questions like you went through. I stop the meeting and ask the person they was questioning to leave the room. After that person was gone I read those two elders the riot act. After that they keep their mouths shut for the most part. Needless to say they did not care much for me after that. Sorry for what you went through. If you was 16 at the time why was'nt one of your parents there? I just say that maybe those assholes would not have been so personal in the questioning. Again welcome to this board and good luck to you. Still Totally ADD

Welcome doubtful 1799. Better late than never. I served as an elder for 25 years. I was the PO when I woke up. The last meeting I went to was in Jan. 2011. I say all this because I was 56 at the time. Like me you may be wondering what took me so long? This should show us we are all different when it comes to waking up. And what is interesting is what things cause us to wake up. Yours was teachings, mind was why did the wt have so many buildings in Brooklyn and was just maintaining them. I know the answer to that question now but then I did not think of the wt as a money making religion. All I am saying is don't beat yourself up over waking up later in life. Enjoyed your story and looking forward to more of your story. Take care. Still Totally ADD
